The Grossest Looking Yummy Stuff!

Classic case of 'Don't judge a book by it's cover.'

'don't hate me cuz i'm fugly.'
Nevermind the Lysol container - we had ants and I was sneak-attacking them with the lysol wipes.

You will need:

  • 1 package Hash Browns, thawed

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 Eggs, beaten

  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch

  • 1 Philly Cooking Cream (Original)

  • 3 tbsp Bacon Bits

  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup Parmesean

  • 1 package frozen Peas (mine also had mushrooms!)

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie dish.

Press hash browns onto the bottom and sides of pie dish. Bake in preheated oven until brown.
Brown Ground Beef in a skillet and drain - allow to cool.  In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, eggs and cornstarch. Stir in cheese, ground beef, bacon bits, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Pour into hash brown crust.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.

The egg part of this makes it 'sticky' as I like to say.  It makes the meal hearty and more of a quiche-type yummy goodness.  I served it with rolls, but next time I will definitely make cornbread!

    1. I must add this to my "Recipes From Suzie" section in my cookbook (really just an old spiral notebook).

    2. I don't know suzie Q - I am pretty picky. But I trust you so, I may take a stab at it. :)

    3. Definitely! Everything is worth trying once :) If you hate it, throw the recipe away!

    4. @Sarah - You crack me up! My 'Recipe Book' is pretty much a bunch of nasty sheets of paper that have oil/kitchen 'stuff' splattered all over them. That's a project in the making...

Did you get the Kraft Cooking Creme free? I heard it's free at a few stores this week. :) (I did, that's why I asked ;) )

Thanks for sharing at What's Cooking Thursdays! Hope to see you there next week too.

I did get it free, but not this week. Harris Teeter had super doubles! I love it!
